24 Hours of Zolder - Corten with Belgium Racing Porsche 991

The 24-year-old Christoff Corten will take part in his 4th 24 Hours of Zolder race upcoming weekend. Together with his 5 entries in the Spa 24 Hours, participations in the Blancpain GT Series, Belcar and other championships... Corten has already gathered a stunning prize list in endurance racing. Christoff will share the wheel of a Porsche 991 GT3 Cup from Belgium Racing with Hans and Frank Thiers - two-time winners of the event -, Danny De Laet and Pedro Bonnet.

“I did not drive a race car for some months”, Christoff Corten says following a test session with the Porsche 991 GT3. “I’m not a professional race car driver but I feel confident straight away at the wheel of such a car! In addition I really enjoy every moment on track.”

Corten already won his class with a car from the German manufacturer during the Spa 24 Hours and claimed a 4th position in a similar car during the Zolder 24 Hours. “In 2015 I switched to Ferrari and BMW Clubsport though, but I’m looking forward to race with Porsche again! We have a strong team for this 39th edition of the Zolder 24 Hours. We will not claim pole position but we will be able to climb up in the overall ranking during the race. The prototypes will be stronger, but as we know Zolder is a very demanding racetrack for cars and drivers. We will adopt a good rhythm and try to avoid mistakes in order to finish in a front position on Sunday.”

Corten will take part with a Porsche from Belgium Racing, winner of the past 3 editions of the Zolder 24 Hours!

“No doubt, it's an advantage”, Corten says. “Belgium Racing is a well prepared experienced team and knows each aspect of the car. I would like to thank Total for their support. I’m also very happy to see the revival of the Zolder 24 Hours continues with a full starting grid and I hope the spectators will be present to celebrate this beautiful event. See you in Zolder!
