Christoff Corten, Bert and Stienes Longin and Giorgio Maggi aim for victory in 24 Hours of Zolder

Christoff Corten and Bert Longin recently won the 4th round of the Belcar Endurance Championship in Spa-Francorchamps. Both drivers drove a perfect race and the Krafft Racing Norma M20FC proved to be very reliable. We couldn’t dream of a better preparation for the 24 Hours of Zolder, one of the world’s most demanding Endurance races. For this important meeting, which counts towards the Belcar Endurance Championship and where double points will be awarded, both drivers will be strengthened by Stienes Longin, son of Bert and currently number one in the European NASCAR series, and Giorgio Maggi, a young talented Swiss racing driver with experience in endurance racing. Christoff Corten has built a strong reputation in Endurance racing during the past racing seasons and is also the winner of the 24 Hours of Zolder in 2017 at the wheel of an identical Norma M20FC.

Christoff Corten: “To grab a victory in the 24 Hours of Zolder one time is amazing, but I would like to add a second victory to my prize list. We dispose of all the elements to achieve a great result. French team Krafft Racing already proved to be very strong during previous races when we speak about the mechanical aspect but also about strategy. And the car is perfect. Everybody knows the strong and weak points of the Norma M20FC and it’s up to us, the drivers, to manage all these aspects. The speed in the corners, the economy of fuel and the smooth drive are keys to success on the racetrack of Zolder."

Of course the entire team also has to take the Belcar Endurance Championship ranking into account.

Christoff Corten: “We would like to climb up in the overall top 3 ranking. This race is perfect to achieve our aim thanks to the double points that will be rewarded throughout the 24 Hours of Zolder. Our double focus will impact the race strategy. It’s not necessary to take risks during the start to avoid incidents and we will keep a constant pace to preserve the car and to save fuel. Because all time spent in the pit lane is difficult to recover on the track in Zolder. We will do everything to finish this race on a high note!”
